CITY DEBATE is a forum organized by the Architects of Valencia, jointly organized, on this occasion, with the College of Civil Engineers, Canals, and Ports. It is structured into sessions that will address proposals based on specific topics. It is open to all citizens who wish to attend and even participate in an enriching discussion of suggestions and commitments alongside the speakers selected for each event. Urban planning today involves everyone thinking about the city and its surroundings, not just architects and politicians, but also other technicians and specialists, residents, retailers, hoteliers, business owners, etc. Starting with problems, we must find solutions through planning and dialogue to transform a large Valencia into a great city. A balance between economic, political, and social interests is necessary. The regeneration of the real estate sector through rehabilitation, infrastructure, and municipal projects of any scale will also lead to job creation thanks to public and private investment. Today is World Environment Day, and this year’s theme focuses on the connection between people and nature, encouraging us to get outdoors and immerse ourselves in nature to appreciate its beauty and reflect on how integral we are to it and how much we depend on it. It challenges us to discover fun and exciting ways to experience and promote that connection. The beauty of this day lies in its diversity. It’s a time for the world’s citizens to act collectively, show their care, and show their love for the planet. In December 1972, the General Assembly designated June 5 as World Environment Day to raise public awareness of the need to preserve and improve the environment. The date chosen was in commemoration of the day it opened the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972. World Environment Day is the United Nations’ most important day of global environmental awareness and action. It’s an opportunity for all of us to do something positive for the environment, channeling individual actions and transforming them into a collective effort. New technologies, key to the future of urban mobility: Valencia Plaza News The mobility councilors of Valencia, Alicante, Castellón, and Elche met for the first time to discuss shared challenges and concerns during the “Mobility in a Click” conference held at the University of Alicante, attended by more than one hundred industry professionals. The debate focused on new technologies and future projects; everyone expressed their gratitude for the recently awarded European funds, which will serve as a stimulus to improve mobility in cities.
